太鼓の演奏が終わると夕食会が始まりました。今夜は特別な来客がありました！昨年までレッドウィング市長だったジョン・ハウさんが今年、ミネソタ州の州議会に選挙されて、州都のセントポール市で働くことになりました。今回一緒に交流していただいて光栄に思い、嬉しかったです。
ほかにもう一人、嬉しいことに合流できました。昨年伊方町に行ったエミリー・デックさんはジュンペイの隣に座っています。
As soon as the taiko performance was over, it was time for dinner. Tonight, we had a very special guest. State Senator John Howe, the previous mayor of Red Wing, was able to join us, and we in the Ikata group were pleased and honored to make his acquaintance.
In addition, we had another special guest: Emily Dech (next to Jumpei). She made the trip to Ikata last summer, and we were glad she was able to come welcome this year's group this evening.
