A Long-Awaited Arrival in Japan 待ちに待った来日

After a transfer in Toronto and a long flight, the Red Wing Student Delegation arrived safely in Narita International Airport wearing their amazing t-shirts!  The most difficult part behind them, the group headed into Tokyo on the express train, dropped off their suitcases at Hotel Kinuya, and headed out for some Japanese noodles. The rain even came out to greet our avid travelers. Stopping at a convenience store on the way back to the hotel, I couldn't help laugh a bit when I was asked "What is this? I bought it but I'm actually not really sure what it is." And so begins the journey through Japan.

トロントで乗り換えをして、国境と太平洋を渡り、レッドウィング派遣団は無事に成田空港に到着しました。入国審査が済んで、大きい荷物を伊方町へ郵送、東京上の駅へのエクスプレス列車に搭乗、出発！「きぬやホテル」に手荷物を降ろして、傘をさして、最寄りのジャパニーズヌードルレストランに向いて出かけました。ホテルへ帰る時、コンビニに寄りました。私に買い物を見せた派遣生「これはなに？買ったけどなんだかわからんよ」と言い、私は笑ってしまいました。雨にも負けず、みんなが今日の締めまで笑顔で。さあ、日本での旅の始まりです。
