シカゴ美術館 The Art Institute of Chicago

VanGogh, Cézanne, Seurat, Dali, Picasso all greeted us at the Art Institute. There were so many, even two hours just flew by.
ヴァン·ゴッホ, セザンヌ, スーラ、ダリー、さらにピカソもシカゴ美術館で出迎えまてくれました。2時間があっという間に経ってしまいました。

At Long Last, We're Off! いよいよ、出発しました！

8月1日(水) 今朝7:00にいよいよアメリカに向かっての第一歩を踏み出しました。
At long last we take our first steps towards the United States this morning, Wednesday August 1st at 7am.

Drums and Letters 太鼓と手紙

8月1日の出発までに後3週間となりました。渡航の準備はどんどん進んでいます。伊方町派遣生のための英語研修は後少しとなりました。リバーシティーデイズパレードにて演奏をするためにエイサ（伝統的な沖縄の太鼓）の練習をしています。（上の写真をご覧下さい）

ちなみに、ホストファミリーの皆さん、派遣生からのへメールが届きましたか？

There are now three weeks left to go until the August 1^st departure. Flight preparation is in full swing. Homestay English lessons are wrapping-up, and we are practicing Eisa (a type of Okinawan traditional drum) for the River City Days parade (as you can see in the picture above)

By the way, have the host families received their letters from the students yet?

English Training Time! 英語研修タイム！

English training for the 16th Ikata Junior-High School Student Overseas Delegation got underway yesterday (June 4th) . Even if just a little bit, we hope that this class can help them communicate in English during their homestay in Red Wing. Self-introductions, how to greet others, manners, differences between Japanese and American lifestyle, and even the English they will encounter at immigration and more are all in store. Good luck little mikans!

６月４日（月）第１６回伊方町中学生海外派遣団の英語研修が始まりました。 派遣までの２ヶ月の間、レッドウイングでホームステイをして少しでも英語でコミュニケーションがとれるように、英語研修を開催します。内容は自己紹介や挨拶のしかた、ホームステイ中のマナー、日本とアメリカの生活の違う点、入国検査での対応、いろいろなことを勉強中です。頑張ってね、ミカンたち！
