River City Days リバーシティーデイズ

After a stormy night, the skies cleared up and River City Days began. There are many booths with food, souvenirs, and handmade goods. There is even a booth from the Sister Cities Commission. Here you can see Ikata Committee Chair Mr. Ryan West and Committee Member.

夜の嵐の後、空が晴れてきて、リバーシティーデイズが始まりました。食べ物、お土産、手作り作品も販売しているいくつかのブースがあります。レッドウィング姉妹都市委員会のブースもありました。引率者である宮崎先生と委員会員のシャノンさんと姉妹都市委員会伊方町担当であるライアン・ウェストさんは下の写真に入っています。

レッドウィングdeの最初の夜 The First Night in Red Wing

シカゴからミネアポリス市まで小さな航空機に乗りました。そこで、ハウさんとラーキンさんとウェスト会長に挨拶や自己紹介を言った後で、車にスーツケースを入れたから、レッドウィングへ行きました。ホームステイの最初の夜が始まりました。明日のリバーシティーデイズのイベントが沢山ありますので、よく寝てください。^^
We flew to Minneapolis on a small airplane and after some shuffling of suitcases onto the cars of Mrs. Howe, Mr. Larkin, and Mr. West, we were on our way to Red Wing. The first night of the homestay has begun. Sleep well, tomorrow is a day full of River City Days events.

ミネソタ州へ Off to Minnesota

ホストファミリーに出会うために今日やっとミネソタ州へ出発しました。シカゴで検査したので、今回の検査はとてもスムーズにいきました。ほら、皆さんは笑顔ですね。We finally took off to Minnesota today and are off to meet our host families. The airport was much easier because we knew what to do. All smiles see?

Jet-lag and a Full Day 時差ぼけと忙しい一日

With so many places to visit and the 14-hour time difference getting the best of them, the students succumb to sleep. We headed back to the hotel and had a delicious pizza dinner but it looks like we are done for the day.
見学した場所が多くて、14時の時差もありますので、子供たちは眠りに負けました。ホテルに戻っておいしいピザを食べましたが、今日はもうこれで。お疲れ様です！

Chicago, the city of Architecture. シカゴ、建築の街

おいしい中華料理を食べた後で、アデラー天文台へ行きました。時間があまりありませんでしたが、写真を撮ってミシガン湖の景色を実感することができました。After a nice Chinese food lunch, we make a stop at Adler planetarium. There wasn't too much time but we got up close to Lake Michigan and really got to see all of Chicago in one glance.

シカゴ美術館 The Art Institute of Chicago

VanGogh, Cézanne, Seurat, Dali, Picasso all greeted us at the Art Institute. There were so many, even two hours just flew by.
ヴァン·ゴッホ, セザンヌ, スーラ、ダリー、さらにピカソもシカゴ美術館で出迎えまてくれました。2時間があっという間に経ってしまいました。
