Day 3: Arrival in Red Wing レッドウィングへの到着

今日はようやくレッドウィングに到着しました。ホストファミリーと初めての出会い。At last the students have arrived in Red Wing. Here they are meeting their host families for the first time.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Chicago シカゴの観光

今日はシカゴの観光でした。時差ボケのせいで皆はちょっと疲れているけど市内で色々なことを体験して、充実した一日になりました。最初の観光スポットはウィリスタワーでした。Today the group did sightseeing in Chicago. Everyone was a bit tired from jet lag, but we managed to see and experience many things in the city. The first stop was the Willis Tower.

ホワイトソックスの球場を見に行きました。We made a brief stop at the White Sox stadium.

シカゴのチャイナタウンに行って、中華料理を食べました。Afterwards, we went to Chicago's Chinatown for lunch.

Day 1: Arrival in the US アメリカへの到着

伊方町派遣団がアメリカに到着して無事にシカゴのホテルに着きました。長い日でしたので皆は疲れているけど、明日の観光を楽しみにしています。 The Ikata delegation has safely arrived in the US and reached their hotel in Chicago. Everyone is tired from the long journey but is looking forward to sightseeing tomorrow.

Day 12: The end of one adventure and the beginning of another ひとつの冒険の終わり、そしてもうひとつの冒険の始まり

今日は出発の日です。レッドウィング派遣生は伊方のホストファミリーと別れて、帰国します。そして、伊方の派遣生はいよいよアメリカへ向かいます。いってきます！The day has finally come. Thus morning, the Red Wing students said goodbye to their host families and began their trip back home. With them are the Ikata students, who are getting ready to begin their journey to the US. Good luck everyone!

Day 10: Farewell Party 送別会

月曜日はレッドウイング派遣団のために送別会がありました。美味しい焼肉を食べて、楽しい雰囲気でした。On Monday there was a farewell party for the Red Wing delegation. Everybody enjoyed the delicious food and fun atmosphere.

夕食の後で記念撮影。この後、皆は伊方花火大会に行きました。Group photo after the dinner. After this, everybody went to see the Ikata fireworks.

Day 9: Kinahaiya Ikata Festival きなはいや伊方

日曜日はきなはいや伊方祭りでした。最初にレッドウイング派遣団は舞台に上がってインタビューを受けました。Sunday was the Ikata Kinahaiya Festival. Before the festival started, the exchange students went on stage and did a brief interview.

祭りは色々なゲームがありました。 There were a variety of games at the festival.

午後から伊方町国際交流協会はフェイスペイントとボールを投げるゲームをしました。レッドウイングと伊方の派遣生は一緒にブースの手伝いをして、盛り上がりました。 In the afternoon, the Ikata International Exchange Association had a festival booth with face painting and a ball throwing game. The Red Wing and Ikata students worked together creating a lively and fun atmosphere for everyone.

祭りのために派遣生は浴衣を着ました。 The students all bought yukatas for the festival.

伊方踊りに参加した国際交流チームです。私達は大賞をもらいましたよ！ At the end of the day, we all participated in the "Ikata Dance". Our team (the international exchange team) got first place!

Days 6 and 7: Ceremonies, tours and experiences 儀式、町内めぐり、文化体験

木曜日と金曜日はとても忙しかったです。木曜日派遣生は陶芸を体験して、記念植樹をして、そして、歓迎会に参加しました。これは陶芸教室です。Thursday and Friday were very busy. On Thursday, the students had a ceramics class, planted a memorial tree, and had a formal welcome party. This is a picture of the ceramics class.

歓迎会の後で、瀬戸アグリトピアに泊まって、次の日は町内めぐり。これは瀬戸の風車です。After the welcome party, the students stayed the night at the lodge and then headed out on a town tour the next day. Here they are looking at the windmills in Seto.
