見学の一日（１）Day of Tours (pt. 1)

First, we went to Red Wing Pottery and watched the potter at work.

まず、レッドウイングポッタリ（陶芸）の店に行って、陶芸家の作業を見ました。

We went to Hobgoblin Music and saw some harps-in-progress. We also heard folk music from hammer dulcimers and mountain dulcimers, and the kids got to try hitting the hammer dulcimer, too.

ハブガブリン・ミュージックという独特な店・コンサート場に行って、ハープを作っているところを見せてもらいました。（そのハープは、できたら日本へ輸出するそうです。）フォークミュージックを聴いたりして楽しかったです。学生たちは「ハマーダルシマー」という楽器を弾かせてもらいました。

Later on, we went to Sheldon Theater and got an amazing "up and over" tour that reminded me (at least) of Phantom of the Opera. We saw a brick on the back wall with Billy Burke's signature-- before she played Glinda on The Wizard of Oz, she came and danced at the Sheldon!

そのあと、シェルドン劇場に行って、素晴らしいツアーをしてもらいました。（私は、オペラ座の怪人を思い出しましたが・・・）舞台の後ろの壁がレンガでできていて、その一つのレンガには、ビリー・バークという女優・ダンサーのサインを見ました。ビリー・バークは「オズの魔法使い」（１９３９年の映画）では良い魔女のグリンダを演じました。その前に、なんとシェルドン劇場で踊りました！

見学の一日（２）Day of Tours (pt. 2)

At the old water tower at Anderson Center. We climbed the tower, which has 76 steps. I wonder if anyone will have sore leg muscles tomorrow.

アンダーソン・センターの古い給水塔で・・・　塔を上りましたが、階段が７６ステップもありました！明日は筋肉痛のでは？

We had fun at the YMCA, first in the Zumba dance class, and then trying some wall climbing.
YMCAというスポーツセンターで、「ズンバ」というダンスエアロビと、クライミングをして、色々と楽しく体を動かしました。
