レッドウィング学生派遣団が、レッドウィング姉妹都市委員会の説明会で決定され、7月中旬に伊方町を訪れる予定となりました。レッドウィング学生派遣団は女子6名、男子1人、引率者1人の計8名の派遣団です。皆さんは初めての日本への旅ですので、日本の文化を体験し、伊方町でホームステイするのをとても楽しみにしているそうです。その中には、以前に伊方町でホームステイをして学生の兄弟もいます。
1人は平成22年に伊方町でホームステイしたアレックスの妹のヘレンで、もう1人は平成23年に伊方町でホームステイしたヘイリーの弟のファスターです。
要したら、2013派遣事業の準備は順調に進んでいます。
It seems that it has been decided at Red Wing's Sister Cities Commission's meeting last week that a student delegation from Red Wing will indeed be making it's way to Ikata this summer, mid-July. The delegation will be made up of 6 girls and 1 boy from the Red Wing area. It will be the first time to Japan for them and they are all looking forward to experiencing Japanese culture and staying with a host family. There are even a couple student's whose older siblings visited Ikata in the past! One is Alex's (2010) younger sister Helen and the other is Hailee's (2011) younger brother Foster.
All in all, planning for the 2013 exchange program is moving along on schedule.
